Chocolate Cream Ornament Cake

1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
1 ice cream cone
1 piece red string licorice (2 inch)
decorating gel
colored sugar
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Lightly grease two 9-inch round cake pans. Prepare cake batter as directed on package. Blend in dry pudding mix. Pour evenly into prepared pans.
BAKE as directed on package. Cool 10 min.; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar in small bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add whipped topping; stir until well blended.
PLACE one of the cake layers on serving plate; spread with one-third of the cream cheese mixture. Cover with remaining cake layer. Spread top and side of cake with remaining cream cheese mixture. Poke two small holes in bottom of ice cream cone; insert ends of licorice into holes leaving small loop at top. Place cone next to cake to resemble ornament hanger. Decorate top of cake with decorating gel and colored sugar as desired. Store in refrigerator.

1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
1/4 tsp. green food coloring
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
16 peppermint sticks (3 inch)
1/2 cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut
2 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, chopped
1/4 cup PLANTERS Dry Roasted Peanuts, chopped
Assorted Christmas candies
colored sugar
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans; set aside. Prepare cake batter as directed on package; tint with food coloring. Pour evenly into prepared pans.
BAKE as directed on package. Cool in pans 10 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.
BEAT cream cheese and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir in whipped topping with wire whisk. Spread onto tops and sides of cakes.
CUT each cake into eight wedges to resemble Christmas trees. Insert peppermint stick into curved side of each cake for the tree trunk. Decorate with remaining ingredients. Store in refrigerator.

2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
20 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, crushed, divided
10 paper or plastic cups (6 to 7 oz.)
2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Let stand 5 minutes. Gently stir in 1 cup of the crushed cookies.
SPOON remaining crushed cookies into bottoms of paper cups, adding about 2 tsp. crumbs to each cup; cover with pudding mixture.
DROP spoonfuls of the whipped topping onto desserts to resemble snowmen. Decorate with gels for the "eyes," "noses" and "scarves." Refrigerate until ready to serve. Store leftover desserts in refrigerator.

3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
suggested decorations, such as decorating gels, colored sprinkles, nonpareils and miniature peanut butter cups (optional)
PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Beat cream cheese, sugar, butter and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add flour and baking soda; mix well.
SHAPE dough into equal number of 1/2-inch and 1-inch diameter balls. (You should have about 44 of each size ball.) Using 1 small and 1 large ball for each snowman, place balls, slightly overlapping, on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten to 1/4-inch thickness with bottom of glass dipped in additional flour. Repeat with remaining dough.
BAKE 19 to 21 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire rack. Sprinkle each snowman with sifted powdered sugar, if desired.

3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
2 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1 cup coarsely chopped PLANTERS Pecans
1 tsp. powdered sugar
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir in granulated sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and pecans; mix well. Spread into greased foil-lined 13x9-inch baking pan.
BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not over-bake.) Cool in pan.
CUT brownie in pan into 18 decorative shapes with 1-1/2 inch star-shaped or holiday cookie cutters. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Reserve the trimmings for snacking or another use (see Tip).

1/4 cup ground MAXWELL HOUSE Coffee, any variety
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 cup eggnog, warmed
1/2 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
PLACE coffee in filter in brew basket of coffee maker; sprinkle with nutmeg. Place sugar in empty pot of coffee maker. Add 2-1/2 cups cold water to coffee maker; brew. When brewing is complete, stir in eggnog.
POUR into 4 cups. Serve immediately, topped with dollops of the whipped topping. Sprinkle lightly with additional nutmeg, if desired.

2-1/4 cups boiling water, divided
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Brand Lime Flavor Gelatin
1 cup ice cubes
1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Brand Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (Do not thaw.), divided
STIR 3/4 cup of the boiling water into dry lime gelatin mix in medium bowl until completely dissolved. Add ice; stir until gelatin is slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Pour into 1- to 1-1/2-qt. serving bowl. Refrigerate 15 min. or until set.
ADD remaining 1-1/2 cups boiling water to dry strawberry gelatin mix in large bowl; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Add two-thirds of the frozen whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until whipped topping is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Refrigerate remaining whipped topping for later use. Carefully spoon strawberry gelatin mixture over lime gelatin layer.
REFRIGERATE 2 hours or until set. Top with remaining whipped topping just before serving. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
Mrs. Claus's Cookies
INGREDIENTS
4 oz of white sugar; 1 tablespoon molasses
4 oz unsalted butter; 1 tablespoon baking soda
6 oz flour; 1 3/4 oz dark chocolate chips
1 teaspoon milk

PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 325 * F (165 * C)
Grease two large baking sheets

DIRECTIONS
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar and butter together with a wooden spoon until fluffy
  • Sift the flour and mix into the butter and sugar
  • Pour the molasses and the milk into a small saucepan and warm over a low heat until the molasses has melted
  • Add the baking soda to the sauce spoon and stir. The mixture will froth a little
  • Add the molasses mixture to the mixing bowl, and blend with a wooden spoon
  • Fold in the chocolate chips with a large metal spoon
  • Take spoonfuls of the mixture and roll them into small balls, then place them about two inches apart on the baking sheets
  • Take a fork dipped in flour and press down on each ball twice to make a little X, spreading the mixture cut slightly
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 - 15 minutes, until they are golden brown
  • Remove the cookies from the oven, transfer them to a cooling rack, and allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes
  • The cookies should be crunchy around the edges, but still slightly chewy in the middle
  • Don't be tempted to eat the cookies while they are hot or you will burn your mouth!
  • Later, you can eat them all.......or save some for Santa!
